Are you interested in applying for a grant?
You must first become qualified !
The qualification process helps ensure that your club understands your financial responsibilities, including stewardship, and is prepared to take them on. Qualification must be completed each year.
Becoming qualified is simple, you have to :
- Agree to the club qualification MOU
- Get your Club President, President Elect and / or Immediate Past President to sign the MOU
- Confirm your President Elect and certify by your current Club Secretary
- Send at least one club member to a grant management seminar held by district
- Prepare a written financial management plan for administration
- Open a designate bank account if you are applied as host club of a Global Grants Project
The Rotary Scholarship offers a great opportunity to our young people who have a mission of furthering their study in advancing their career, in particular in the areas of Rotary’s six areas of focus. Our District, through the Global Grant, will sponsor young scholar to study abroad; and similarly, our clubs can also play host to students coming from overseas studying in Hong Kong.
The Rotary Foundation, under the Global Grant, will support scholars who are undertaking a graduate study (programme length can be one to four years) in a subject that fit one of the six causes:
- Promoting peace
- Fighting disease
- Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
- Saving mothers and children
- Supporting education
- Growing local economies
As Rotary sets to initiate its Polio Eradication & Endgame Strategic Plan 2013-2018 – the world came together to make financial commitments totaling approximately US$4 billion over six years toward the US$5.5 billion endgame strategy of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative were announced during the Global Vaccine Summit in Abu Dhabi. This money and global efforts represent the final mile as we get THIS Close to eradicating Polio from the Face of the world.
