Moments of Peace Photo Exhibition at PMQ
Jointly organized by Peace Committee of RI District 3450 and UNESCO HK, the Moments of Peace photo competition has now come to the final conclusion of exhibition at PMQ. Thanks for the supports from sponsors and volunteers. Come and enjoy some of the finest works by Rotarians as well as works by winners and finalists. Special thanks to Ms. Samantha Shum, Ms Monique Hung, and Vajracitta for sharing their artwork. District Fellowship Party “Bollywood Night ” Saturday, Oct 24.
It was wonderful meeting you at the 2nd JPM. As I succinctly touched on, The Object of Rotary is to, foremost of all, encourage and foster. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service. This amply exemplifies the importance of Fellowship in the Rotary context. Fellowships also provides opportunities for Rotarians to make lasting friendships outside of your own clubs, contribute to the advancement of understanding & peace, and serve as an incentive for attracting new members & retaining existing ones. Fellowship is indeed the foundation of Rotary! However, a Party can not happen without the Party-Goers. BOLLYWOOD NIGHT can only succeed with your ardent support. Dear All DMC members and Presidents ,
Please be kindly informed that there are 38 members registered for the 14 August, 2015 visit to Qianhai ,Shenzhen, PRC.
According to travel agency, bus has only 47 seaters, hence, 9 seats are now still open.
Please inform your members for early registration through RIC.
If there are seats open by Wednesday next, I shall open it to friends of Rotarians and their family members .

Invitation to attend “World Peace retrospective exhibition” from RC of Macau Central
Dear Rotarian,
We hereby sincerely invite you to visit our retrospective exhibition in Macau Government Tourist Exhibition Hall from 22nd August to 26th August.
This (World Peace retrospective exhibition) will show people the history of the World War II in photographs, and aim to remind people preciousness of peace. Also, we will try to lead a tour of deep thinking on the meaning of peace in nowadays.

Global Grants for Rotary Year 2015-16 is Now Open for Application
Dear Club Presidents,
Further to our promotion at the first Joint President Meeting, I am pleased to inform you that the Global Grants for Rotary year 2015-16 is now open for application.
Global Grant supports local and international projects, scholarships, vocational training teams, and related travel within the six areas of focus that are sustainable, measureable and host community-driven.
Our District provides an option for financing Global Grant projects by District Designated Fund (DDF). In Rotary year 2015-16, total DDF available is US$280,185.29, including uncommitted DDF of US$182,321.41 that was carried forward from last Rotary year. Of this amount, US$80,000 has been reserved for Global Grants covering scholarship and vocational training teams. US$150,000 is to be used in funding some district or global projects. The balance of US$50,185.29 is reserved for future years to ensure stable DDF Funding.(….read more)
