District Grants (Stage 1) Application 2015-16 (Deadline: 28 August 2015, Friday)
Dear Club Presidents, I am pleased to inform you that the District Grants (Stage 1) for Rotary year 2015-16 is now available for your application and the deadline is 28 August, 2015 (Friday).
District Grant enables our District to support local and international projects, scholarships, vocational training teams, and related travel. In Rotary year 2015-16, total District Grants funds available is about US$113,364.
US$35,000 of the District Grants has been reserved for scholarship and vocational training teams. The balance of US$78,364 and is to be used in funding some district or club projects.
The maximum grant per application is US$6,000 or 50% of proposed budget of the project, whichever is lower. Please note that District Grant only supports projects which must not have started already and should be completed by 31 March 2016. The projects should also be initiated by the clubs themselves and not by a third party or other NGOs. There should be active participation by members of the clubs. (….read more)

Poverty Alleviation 2015-16_Mentor Recruitment
Dear Club Presidents, With reference of the attached power point which unfortunately failed to appear in the 1st JPM, I would like to introduce the captioned District Community Service Project in order to help as life masters for those underprivileged youths aged 15-29 in this District vocational matching service project.
This project has been started last year and is now regarded by the Government as one of the early successful projects in HK of this kind of vocational matching for these young unemployed.
The higher success rate at more than 70% compared to similar projects run by others with success rate at 35% is mainly because of our rotarians’ participation as the youths’ life masters.

Dear Club Presidents, District Leaders and Immediate Past Presidents,
On behalf of the District Installation 2015-16 Organizing Committee, I would like to thank you for your outstanding support and participating in the District Installation last Saturday, 4 July in HKCEC. I hope you all had a great and memorable evening.
More than 780 members, distinguished guests and visiting Rotarians attended the Installation from Hong Kong, Macau and abroad.
The event would not be possible without my great Organizing Committee Team, they have been helping me for the past 10 months. Also I am very appreciated to all the District Officers who encouraged you to join this wonderful event.
I extend our thanks to all our members and donors for their invaluable contribution and support for the Installation program book.
Change of deadline for Sponsorship on Rotary HK Chordophonia 2015 Concert to 15 July 2015
Further to our email dated on 19 May 2015 with subject ” D3450 Preserve Planet Earth Request for Rotary HK Chordophonia 2015 Concert Sponsorship”, we would like to advise the extension of the sponsorship deadline from 30 June 2015 to 15 July 2015 due to the cross of New Rotary Year.
We urge you and your board to consider to become sponsor and invite your company, friends and family to support as well.
