Virtual Rotary Exchange is a program initiated at the Rotary Connects the World Forum held online on 27th June, 2020 hosted by Rotary International District 3450.  The program would contribute to the growth of Rotary, both in terms of membership and services.

Rotary has a long history in international exchanges and our District has always been a favourite exchange destination.  Through these exchanges, we foster stronger international understanding and peacebuilding.  In the post COVID-19 new normal, we see an opportunity to introduce an online exchange experience which can be implemented in a manner that is low cost, flexible and creative.

From our experience, GSE and VTT do not only enhance the club involvement in international service but also help clubs to attract younger members. Join this breakout session to find out more about VRE and how your club can participate in such an exciting program!

In May 2019, Rotary International and Toastmasters International entered into an exciting strategic alliance which allows both organizations to leverage their unique and similar strengths going forward.  Rotary International and Toastmasters International are two international non-profit service organizations that possess more than a century of proud history of making positive impacts to the world dating back to1905.

While the two organizations share core values in Integrity, Respect diversity, Service and leadership, the two organizations are also unique in their own ways.  Whereas Toastmasters International has unique focus and expertise in providing training to empower individuals to becoming more effective communicators and leaders, Rotary International is a service organization that offers opportunities for Rotarians in volunteering service to improve lives both locally and internationally, enhance business and professional connectivity underpinning live long friendships amongst its members.

This breakout session with audience of both Rotarians and Toastmasters aims at promoting understanding of Rotary and Toastmasters and the satisfactory of being their members. We are honored to have the presence of Mr. Wilson Yau, District Director of Toastmasters International District 89, South China including HK and Macau as expert panelist and together we shall explore the synergy and collaboration between Rotary and Toastmasters benefiting members of the two organizations in areas of training, services, personal development and membership opportunities.

Ample time will be devoted for discussion and exchange of ideas during this session.  We value your wisdom and opinions in our efforts to open a new chapter in Rotary and Toastmasters collaboration.

Satellite Clubs – Myths & Success Stories

Watch the webinar

Satellite Club has been encouraged by RI, and District 3450 has had our first Satellite Club since 2017.   The first Rotary Club that was born out of a Satellite Club was formed in 2019.   Will we continue to have more Satellite Clubs and more Rotary Clubs formed out of them?

A Satellite Club indeed injects dynamism and vibrancy into the Host Club:  Satellite Clubs may attract new members and retain existing members by allowing more flexibility;  Satellite Clubs may be used as a vehicle to try out various club models; and Satellite Clubs may be a good way of attracting Rotaractors to join as Rotarians.
