Prior to retirement from the civil service in 2011, H.W. Fung was the Commissioner for Census and Statistics of the HKSAR Government. He is graduate of the University of Hong Kong, Chartered Statistician of the Royal Statistical Society of the U.K., elected member of the International Statistical Institute and Honorary Member of the Hong Kong Statistical Society. He was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star by the HKSAR Government. He had served as Chair and member of the advisory committees in various universities in Hong Kong.

H.W. has been actively involved in community services and has joined Rotary since 2006. He has served the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Hong Kong and Rotary International District 3450 (D3450) in various capacities. He was Rotarian of the Year of D3450 in 2012-13. In 2017-18, he was District Governor of D3450. He is currently Co-chair of the District Membership Committee, and Chair of THE ONE Hong Kong Award of D3450. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, a Paul Harris Society Member, and a Major Donor of The Rotary Foundation.

A qualified industrial chemist and entrepreneur in textile manufacturing, Kenneth Wong joined Rotary as charter member of Rotary Club of Tai Po in 1991 and have since served Rotary in various district committees. He served as District Governor of Rotary International District 3450 in 2012-2013, the year of “Peace Through service”.

One of his inspiring Rotary moments came when he led a Group Study Exchange (GSE) team to District 4420 in San Paulo, Brazil, where he witnessed how lives could be impacted by Rotary programs and how GSE and Youth Exchange could enhance mutual understanding and connecting peoples of different cultures and historical backgrounds.

Kenneth initiated a district project to provide clean and bacteria free drinking water to over 106 schools in remote regions of China estimated to have benefited over 180,000 students and teaching staffs.

Kenneth is currently serving as Co-Chair of District Membership Committee.
