Y.K. Cheng joined the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island East in 1983. He was Club President in 1990-91 and served as Governor of Rotary International (RI) District 3450 in 1996-97. Y.K. has served RI as a committee member, International Assembly Trainer Leader in 1998 & 1999, Zone Institute Trainer, RI President’s Personal Representative to
District Conferences, and from 2008 to 2013 Special Representative to Mainland of China.

Y.K. chaired the District 3450 Hepatitis B Immunization Project for One Million Children in China. He is a Past Chairman of the District 3450 Council of Past Governors. He is a past District 3450 representative to the Council on Legislation. For his service to RI & The Rotary Foundation, Y.K. was awarded the RI Service Above Self Award and The Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service and Distinguished Service Award.

A chartered civil and structural engineer by profession, Y.K. maintains his own consulting engineering practice. He is an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Mass Transit Railway Corporation. Y.K. has been active in public service, in areas of housing, hospital services, higher education, structural engineering, and corruption prevention. He was conferred the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Hong Kong Government in 2015. He holds 2 Honorary Doctorate Degrees, respectively; from Macau University of Science & Technology (2017) and Hong Kong Baptist University (2019).

GordonMcInally

Gordon McInally joined the Rotary Club of South Queensferry in 1984, was Club President in 1991-92, and served as District Governor for District 1020 in 1997-98. He and his wife, Heather, relocated from South Queensferry to the Scottish Borders following his retirement from full-time dental practice and are both now members of the Rotary Club of Kelso where Heather is currently Club President.

He has served Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland as a committee member and chairman of most of its administrative and service committees and was R GB&I President in 2004-05. He has also served Rotary International in a number of differing capacities; as a committee member and Chairman and as a member of the RI Board from 2007-09. He was Chairman of the 2013 Rotary Institute and will repeat the role in 2020. Gordon continues to serve Rotary in varying capacities and was Chairman of the 2018 Rotary International Convention.

In his free time, Gordon enjoys watching rugby, having been a keen player in his younger years, and the occasional game of football, good food, wine, opera and other music types along with photography.
