Rotary Scholarship 2018-19

The Rotary Scholarship offers a great opportunity to our young people who have a mission of furthering their study in advancing their career, in particular in the areas of Rotary’s six areas of focus. Our District, through the Global Grant, will sponsor young scholar to study abroad; and similarly, our clubs can also play host to students coming from overseas studying in Hong Kong.

The Rotary Foundation, under the Global Grant, will support scholars who are undertaking a graduate study (programme length can be one to four years) in a subject that fit one of the six causes:

1. Promoting peace
2. Fighting disease
3. Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
4. Saving mothers and children
5. Supporting education
6. Growing local economies

How can a club participate?

All participating clubs must be a qualified club (attended the Rotary Foundation Seminar on 11 November 2017)

1. Identify and nominate a candidate
2. Register with Scholarship Committee for “Express of Interest” in
3. sponsoring a local candidate
4. hosting a candidate from overseas

 The scholarship grant is up to US$30,000. Please note, the club must also make a contribution of US$2,000 to the scholarship upon successful application.

Rotary Scholarship is now open for application. Please fill in the Application Form and submit to RIC before 15 January 2018.
