Amanda Sun – Arts for Good Foundation

In Hong Kong, there are more than 1.6 million people living under the poverty line in 2019. This can be especially detrimental for children/youth in these families, who severely lack the opportunities to cultivate personal interests and creativity which are fundamental to their growth and well-being.

Paying for art supplies, art classes or simply travelling to an art exhibition would mean extra financial burdens for these struggling families. For these children, they face huge obstacles in achieving their artistic vision because their parents are unable to afford these expenses to arts.

Arts for Good Foundation holds a firm conviction that every child, irrespective of his/her financial background or colour of the deserves an equal opportunity to explore and experience,
nurture their well-being. We are an impact-driven social enterprise, and w foster social inclusion through the soft power of arts for the children from polarised or culturally divided communities.
We strives to offer high quality art tours and art workshops, in order to:

  • Provide equal access to art for children from polarised and culturally divided communities.
  • Instil a sense of inclusion and foster perspectives in the way the children (aged 9-18) see the world.
  • Embrace diversity through collaboration in the art community, and provide the children with educational and experiential art learning so that they are empowered for personal growth and positive change.
