Global Grants for Rotary Year 2015-16 is Now Open for Application

Dear Club Presidents,

Further to our promotion at the first Joint President Meeting, I am pleased to inform you that the Global Grants for Rotary year 2015-16 is now open for application.

Global Grant supports local and international projects, scholarships, vocational training teams, and related travel within the six areas of focus that are sustainable, measureable and host community-driven.

Our District provides an option for financing Global Grant projects by District Designated Fund (DDF). In Rotary year 2015-16, total DDF available is US$280,185.29, including uncommitted DDF of US$182,321.41 that was carried forward from last Rotary year. Of this amount, US$80,000 has been reserved for Global Grants covering scholarship and vocational training teams. US$150,000 is to be used in funding some district or global projects. The balance of US$50,185.29 is reserved for future years to ensure stable DDF Funding.(….read more)

Vocational Visit to Qianhai, Shenzhen, PRC. 14 August, 2015

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

On behalf of Rotary District 3450, I would like to invite you to the first vocational service committee activity—-visit to Qianhai, Shenzhen, PRC on 14 August, 2015 Friday.

Qianhai is an are to develope as pioneer special area next to Shenzhen.
We shall visit their exhibition hall where specialist will explain to us the development of the area for people from HKSAR.

Then lunch in nearby followed by visit to either a factory or institute (Eye hospital managed by Dr. Lam from HK)

Invitation to District Rotaract Awards Presentation Ceremony 2014-2015 cum District Rotaract Installation 2015-2016

Dear All Rotary Leaders,

Our forthcoming District Rotaract Installation cum Rotaract Awards Presentation will be held on 16 August 2015 starting at 1:00pm in the Charles K. Kao Auditorium of Hong Kong Science Park, Shatin.

This year, in addition to the installation and award presentation, District Youth Service Committee would like to invite our service partners, university dignitaries including the University Presidents and the Student Affairs Officers to the Ceremony and a special welcoming luncheon will be provided before the Ceremony commencement.(….read more)

Rotary HK Ultramarathon 2016

Dear District Leaders, District Officers and Club Presidents,

We are most exciting to announce that we will be hosting the Rotary HK Ultramarathon 2016 for the 2nd year on 6th March, 2016, Sunday in Lung Wo Road, Central, Hong Kong. The Organizing Committee is working hard to make this Rotary HK Ultramarathon once again a successful one that everyone will remember.
